Who we are
Bon Voyage Club (“we”) runs this website to promote local tourism in Malawi.
What we collect
- Members: name, email, phone/WhatsApp, password (stored encrypted), your consent date and whether you want news from us.
- Member codes: which deal you claimed, when, and its status.
- Partners: business contact details you give us.
- Visit statistics: anonymous daily counts of page views and button taps per place. To count unique visitors we use a one-way code made from your connection details that changes every day and is deleted after two days. We do not store your IP address for statistics and do not use advertising cookies.
Why we use it
- To run your account and issue member codes.
- To let a partner honour your code — only when you claim that partner’s deal do we share your name, phone and code with them.
- To give partners anonymous statistics about their page.
- To send you news, only if you opted in.
Your rights
You can see and correct your details in My account, delete your account at any time, or ask us for a copy of your data or to stop processing it. Contact us through the Contact page.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. If a breach affects you we will tell you and the regulator promptly. Code records are kept for accounting for up to 6 years; other personal data is deleted when you delete your account.
