Mulanje Mountain Conservation Trust has supported the Betika Sapitwa 4 pre-season matches with 200 tree seedlings which were solicited by Bon Voyage Club.
The seedlings were planted today by the TNM Super League Clubs officials and players from Bangwe All Stars, Dedza Dynamos Salima Sugar, Red Lions and Mighty Wakawaka Tigers also Bon Voyage Club members, Solum Vice General Secretary Donnex Chilonga, Mulanje District Council Staff Members and people within Mulanje district.
The seedlings have been planted outside the Mulanje Park stadium near Namichira river.
The seedlings include; Grecidia, Mtangatanga, Nkweranyani and Nsungwi. Nsungwi is good to protect soil erosion and can easily multiply. It was interesting to see football players acknowledging the importance of tree cover.
