World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise awareness and promote action to protect our environment.
The theme for World Environment Day 2025 is ‘Ending Plastic Pollution‘
Bon Voyage Club commemorated the day on Saturday 7th June and they were joined by DMI Lilongwe Campus University and Dzalanyama Primary school this special event took place at Dzalanyama Forest Reserve
The main showcase of the event was featuring clothing made from recyclable materials , the celebration of the creativity and sustainability of eco friendly fashion, powerful pottery, story telling that highlighted the effects of plastic pollution through art and music
Lady Aika showcased her spirited outdoor acoustic performance. Miss Heritage Wongani Mkandawire and School Days actress Yvonne Chanache were the models who showcased the eco friendly outfits on display at the event
